My heart is so full right now. While surfing the web I randomly came across a YOUTube video of a chapel speaker at Westmont College here in California. The speaker’s name didn’t ring a bell right away. But once she began speaking I knew immediately who she was – a friend of mine from UCLA college days. Now she is married (I knew her by her maiden name), a seminary professor, a pastor and a mom of two special needs kids. And she is profoundly influencing her world for Jesus Christ.
We knew each other as two sorority girls. But years later we are all grown up and each of us is serving Christ with our whole hearts – she in the arena God has given her and me in mine.
Just realizing how far God has brought us gives me chills.
This is what life is really all about. Using who you are – your past and your present; your gifts and your passions; your life circumstances and experiences; your ups and your downs; your mind; your body; your heart and your soul – and placing it all in the hands of the Almighty to use as he sees fit.
Watching what He has done with her life was beautiful.
Because what he does with each life lived surrendered to Him is beautiful.
Who are you today? What will you be tomorrow?
Put your life in the hands of Christ and whatever you become it will be lovely to behold.
