10 Game-Changing Truths About YOU

By March 8, 2013One Comment

I may not know you.  In fact, even if I do know you personally, I probably don’t know you well.  But that doesn’t mean I don’t know what’s true about you. On the contrary, I may know a lot more about you than you think.

One of my hubby’s most memorable phrases is “The truest thing about you is what God says is true.”  I must have heard him say this a thousand times over the course of our years together. If you attend Crossline Church or have heard JP on the radio, you’ve heard him say it, too.

So today, I’m guessing that someone might just need a little reminder about what’s true about you, because it’s not necessarily what you feel like is true, or what your parents told you is true, or what your circumstances indicate are true.  I want to remind you about what is REALLY, TRULY true, because God says it’s true.

Here’s a list of ten things that are true about YOU off the top of my head…

1. You are loved. (Romans 8:38-39)

2. God is always with you and will never leave you or forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)

3. God knows you so intimately that he knows every hair on your head. (Luke 12:7)

4. You are completely forgiven if you know Jesus as your Savior. (1 John 2:12)

5. You have been blessed with every spiritual blessing. (Eph 1:3)

6. God has a good plan for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11)

7. You are under no condemnation. (Romans 8:1)

8. The God who began a good work in you will perfect the work He started. (Philippians 1:6)

9. God himself prays for you through the Holy Spirit when you are too burdened or confused to utter a prayer. (Romans 8:26)

10. God bends low to hear you when you pray. (Psalm 116:2)

These things are true, sweet friend. Living in light of these truths can be a game-changer in the way you live.  Today. Now.  In your current circumstances.

Don’t ever forget:  the truest thing about you isn’t what you feel, the truest thing about you is what God says is true.
