I lead a Bible Study called “Essentials”. It’s the most fabulous study for gals who are brand new to the Bible and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE leading it.
We finished our curriculum 2 lessons before the rest of the groups in our larger women’s Bible study ministry, which left me with 2 weeks of planning what to do with the Essentials gals. So this week we are all reading the gospel of John chapters 1-11 and next week we will read chapters 12 -21.
So….yesterday I read John 1-4 and today I just completed John 5-9. You know what struck me? Just how truly amazing Jesus is! Reading the story of Jesus made my heart sing with joy at the love, the power, the deity, the wisdom, the compassion, and the teaching of Jesus.
If you have never read the book of John in it’s entirety you really must. It’s only 21 chapters. If you read one chapter a day (which will take you 5 – 10 minutes) you can read the whole book in 3 weeks. Every time you see the word “believe”, underline it and you’ll get some incredible insights into Jesus’ teaching.
So, open your Bible and dig in. What are you waiting for? Jesus is there and He’s got a message just for you!
